“Eden” is the second release from the larger “The Book Of Adam” project. Currently, the plan is to release a number of these individual “Sonic Paintings” which are comprised of music, painting and experimental film / video art. (In addition to these pieces, there is also an “album within an album” that is pretty much finished, but I’ll give more details on this nearer the time of release). The separate elements can each stand alone I think, but I would say the films most effectively communicate what is going on in my head; in that when I’m recording music, I feel like I’m “painting with sound”, and similarly when I’m sketching or painting, it’s like I’m channeling the music into something visual, and the films for “Rushing Over a Formless Void” and now “Eden” are the fullest expressions for these pieces. I don’t really want to write too much at this point, as I realise previously I had a habit of trying to over-explain, and ended up writing large mini-essays in the sleeve notes. There will come a time when I’ll write something, I’m sure, but for now I really hope that the music, art and film can speak for themselves.
