About “The Heavens Declare...”

“Chance is a perfectly good word to describe mathematic possibilities, but it is only a word. It is not an entity. Chance is nothing. It has no power because it has no being; therefore, it can exercise no influence over anything. Yet, we have sophisticated scientists today who make sober statements declaring that the whole universe was created by chance. This is to say that nothing caused something, and there is no statement more anti-scientific than that. Everything has a cause, and the ultimate cause, as we have seen, is God.”

- Dr. R.C. Sproul

“The Heavens Declare...The Glory of God” is one concept comprising ten movements, presented as ten EPs. This is just part of the project, it’s a Sound Installation. The audio is presented here, I’m currently working on the visual elements.

I was really inspired by listening to the sounds of planets, stars etc on YouTube, and seeing the awesome images captured by the Hubble Space Telescope. These sights and sounds continue to blow my mind. They prompted me to think “How can anyone believe that the universe is an accident?” I also began thinking “What would it be like to experience these sounds of Creation from God’s Throne Room?” To hear all of this at the same time as hearing the angels singing...These 10 movements are my humble attempt to try to recreate something I’ve never experienced...It’s like trying to grab hold of something in one of your dreams and pull it back into the real world.

Of course you don’t need to agree with me, but isn’t art supposed to challenge us?

* All of “The Heavens Declare...” EPs are available individually, or as part of “The Heavens Declare...” Special Edition Digital Box Set.

“When the author walks on to the stage the play is over...when you see the whole natural universe melting away like a dream and...something it never entered your head to conceive - comes crashing in; something so beautiful to some of us and so terrible to others...something so overwhelming that it will strike either irresistible love or irresistible horror into every creature.” C.S Lewis ... more
