PaulTheOwl/Ripper/MxBv This is a massive undertaking, both of WindHymn, and also for the listener, and whilst I've not done it all in one sitting, I have dipped in several times, and it feels like it will be worth the time.

At the core is light droning ambient sounds, with some playful, experimental, interesting loops, sounds, blips and glitches here that help give things a pulse at good times.

Each track works as enough of its own entity to just take bites when you can, and then know you need to come back for more. Favorite track: Movement Four: Night To Night Reveals Knowledge.

about

**“The Heavens Declare...” Special Edition is a Digital Box Set containing all ten “The Heavens Declare...” EPs, plus new cover artwork, PNG downloads of “Logos”, “This Is The Place Where Stars Are Born 2”, “Darkness on The Face of The Deep”, and “Rift”; the Digital Paintings that are part of “The Heavens Declare...” Installation, x4 stills taken from "A Painting That Moves Part III: Who Stretches Out The Heavens?" x2 Digital Calligraffiti Artworks and x3 download-exclusive bonus tracks, original demos which include “Ambient Strings”, the track that birthed the entire project.**

Normally, the only way to experience a Sound Installation, people would have to travel to a certain gallery or venue, as they are usually site-specific, but as someone who is very introverted, leaving home causes me a lot of anxiety, more so since the COVID epidemic. I figure there are others like me who want to enjoy art and music, but don’t feel comfortable going to cities etc. where these kind of things tend to be hosted. So as best I can, I want you to be able to experience “The Heavens Declare...” from the comfort of your own home, as often as you like, via Bandcamp, YouTube and Instagram. I figure these platforms are the best means for me to make this as accessible as possible.

The Sound Art/Music elements are, of course here on Bandcamp. My YouTube channel hosts the “A Painting That Moves” trilogy of Video Paintings/Ambient Films, plus short promos for the “The Heavens Declare...” EPs, and finally, you can view images of the “This Is The Place Where Stars Are Born” sculpture and photographs of the paintings and drawings that are also included in the project on my Instagram page.

About “The Heavens Declare...”

“Chance is a perfectly good word to describe mathematic possibilities, but it is only a word. It is not an entity. Chance is nothing. It has no power because it has no being; therefore, it can exercise no influence over anything. Yet, we have sophisticated scientists today who make sober statements declaring that the whole universe was created by chance. This is to say that nothing caused something, and there is no statement more anti-scientific than that. Everything has a cause, and the ultimate cause, as we have seen, is God.”

- Dr. R.C. Sproul

“The Heavens Declare...The Glory of God” is a multimedia Sound Installation project which includes Music/Sound Art, Painting, Pencil Drawings, Digital Painting, Photography, Experimental Film and Sculpture. This Special Edition Box Set is being released to celebrate the completion of the project.

I was really inspired by listening to the sounds of planets, stars etc on YouTube, and seeing the awesome images captured by the Hubble Space Telescope. These sights and sounds continue to blow my mind. They prompted me to think “How can anyone believe that the universe is an accident?” I also began thinking “What would it be like to experience these sounds of Creation from God’s Throne Room?” To hear all of this at the same time as hearing the angels singing...These 10 movements are my humble attempt to try to recreate something I’ve never experienced...It’s like trying to grab hold of something in one of your dreams and pull it back into the real world.

I have written more about this on my Instagram page, so please feel free to stop by to find out more.

What I’m trying to communicate here is this universe and everything within it, including me and you, are not some great cosmic accident, we have a Creator. From the massive things in space to DNA each of us possess, they all practically scream that an Intelligence is behind them. Perhaps it’s time to stop running and find out some more about Him?

Of course you don’t need to agree with me, but isn’t art supposed to challenge us?

“When the author walks on to the stage the play is over...when you see the whole natural universe melting away like a dream and...something it never entered your head to conceive - comes crashing in; something so beautiful to some of us and so terrible to others...something so overwhelming that it will strike either irresistible love or irresistible horror into every creature.” C.S Lewis ... more
